Wednesday marks day 26 of the partial government shutdown, and organizations on the Central Coast are trying to help furloughed workers who are impacted locally.
The Santa Barbara County Foodbank will again distribute free food Wednesday for federal employees who are currently going without pay.
The foodbank offered the food distribution last week as well.
The distribution is taking place at the foodbank’s facilities in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, and Lompoc.

The distribution runs from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
No identification is necessary. Immediate family members are also allowed to pick up food on behalf of a federal employee.
An additional food distribution will be held on Friday, January 18 at the same time and locations.
