The Lompoc City Council selected Gilda Cordova to fill an empty city council seat Tuesday night.
The seat was left open when Jenelle Osborne was elected Mayor.
Ten people applied to fill her seat.
Cordova works as a hotel operator with Legend Hospitality. She also serves on the Lompoc economic development committee and the YMCA Board of Directors.
