UPDATE: Firefighters knock down mobile home fire in See Canyon area

UPDATE (5:18 p.m.) – CAL FIRE says firefighters knocked down a fire at a mobile home in the See Canyon area.

The fire originally broke out in the 2300 block of Black Walnut Road around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters are not aware of any injuries and there is no safety threat to anyone in the area.

The cause is under investigation.


UPDATE (3:56 p.m.) – Firefighters say propane tanks are a hazard as they respond to a mobile home fire in the See Canyon area.

In a tweet, CAL FIRE also said power lines were down.

Firefighters say despite the issues, there is minimal threat to starting a vegetation fire in the area.


Firefighters are responding to a fire in the See Canyon area of San Luis Obispo County.

CAL FIRE says a 3,500 square-foot single family home caught fire Saturday afternoon. The home is on Black Walnut Road, just off See Canyon Road.

Firefighters say the fire started around 3 p.m. and it is fully involved.

Firefighters say the fire doesn’t appear to be spreading beyond the home at this time, and crews at the scene are trying to ensure that it is contained to the home.

CAL FIRE did not release information on whether anyone was inside the home.
