Last year, the hot Christmas toys to have were robotic monkeys called “Fingerlings.”
Now, there’s a new iteration from toy maker Wowee called “Untamed.”
“This year, instead of cute, cuddly creatures, they are ferocious monsters,” explains CNET’s Bridget Carey.
The beasts react to pets and taps with different actions and sounds.
They’re a budget buy for robotics enthusiasts at just $17.
For a steeper $250, you can train a dinosaur with Mattel’s Jurassic World Alpha Training Blue.
Kids use a remote control to train the robotic dino. It can learn to mimic movements, react, and even protect its trainer.
“It almost feels like you’re playing a video game,” Carey says.
