Santa Barbara County says election results are officially certified.
The Santa Barbara County Clerk-Recorder announced the final results on Thursday.
A total of 157,697 ballots were counted. That’s an additional 11,637 ballots since the last update.
Election officials say 72 percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the election.
The county says it set records for turnout and the total number of ballots counted for a midterm election.
9,218 provisional ballots were counted, and 1,228 conditional voter registration ballots were counted in the election as well.
