A man walking along a Paso Robles road was struck and injured by a vehicle Wednesday night.
Paso Robles Police report an unidentified man, wearing dark clothes, was in the middle of the northbound lane of North River Road around 7 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the man called authorities, police say.
The driver was not intoxicated and did not see the man in the road.
Police have shut down North River Road and expect it to be closed until after 9 p.m.
The speed limit of North River Road is 45 miles per hour. Police are investigating the crash at this hour.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available.
