Central coast residents receive Amber Alert for girl abducted in WA

Central Coast residents received an Amber Alert Saturday afternoon for a young girl abducted from Vancouver, WA on Thursday and last seen in California.

Authorities said Aranza Maria Ochoa Lopez, 4, was abducted around 1 p.m.

The suspect was identified as Esmeralda Lynn Lopez, 21.

NBC affiliate station KGW said Esmeralda Lopez was on a court-supervised visit with the girl, who is her daughter, at the Vancouver Mall on Thursday when Esmeralda Lopez took off with the child.

Esmeralda Lopez is a person of interest in a kidnapping and robbery that happened Wednesday night or Thursday morning, according to the KGW report.

According to the Amber Alert issued across California just after 1 p.m. Saturday, the suspect and girl were last seen driving a 2005 Chevy cobalt with Washington license plate BLK 1552.

The girl is described as Hispanic with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, standing 5 ft. and weighing 138 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes.

According to the Amber Alert, the woman and child could be headed to Mexico.

KGW reports that police said Aranza Lopez was last seen wearing a long sleleve dark blue shirt with a bulldon on the chest, pink pants and “paw patrol” shoes.
