A Dodge Ram truck catches fire along southbound 101 in Santa Maria, according to CHP.
CHP responded to a car fire along southbound Highway 101 just south of the Betteravia off-ramp at approximately 7:15 a.m. Friday.
According to CHP the driver of the vehicle was able to extinguish the fire, however heavy smoke can be seen in the area.
Drivers should take caution when driving in the area.
