The Atascadero Police Department arrested a shooting suspect in Atascadero after a high-risk stop on Wednesday.
Travis William Miller, 38 of Atascadero, was taken into custody after police spotted his black truck and followed him to a stopping point near a storage rental facility. Police say Miller was accompanied by Nevada Skye Jones, 23 of Atascadero, who was also arrested by police.
Police say Miller was involved in an early morning fight on Wednesday outside of Whiskey & June. Investigators say Miller got into a fight with the victim, went to his truck to get a handgun, and pointed it at the victim. Police say he fired one round, but the victim wasn’t hit.
The Atascadero Police Department and San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department say Miller is involved with the Vagos Motorcycle Gang.
Miller could be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Both Miller and Jones are currently booked in the San Luis Obispo County Jail. The investigation into the crime is ongoing.
