A 7-Eleven store in Goleta was robbed on Monday night and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to assist in finding the suspects.

The robbery occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Monday at the 7-Eleven location on the 5300 block of Hollister Avenue in Goleta. The suspects were reportedly spotted scouting out the convenience store across the way at a nearby Shell gas station on the corner of Walnut and Hollister.

They proceeded to go into the store and demand money from the front cashier before running away with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

Police attempted to follow the suspects toward the South Patterson and Hollister intersection, but were not able to catch up with the suspects.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his mid-twenties who looked to be about 5-foot-5-inches tall. He was wearing a black zip-up windbreaker, blue jeans, blue shoes and a blue hat with a logo. The second suspect was described as a white male in his mid-twenties who looked to be 5-foot-9-inches tall. He was wearing a gray, long-sleeve sweater, dark-colored jeans, black and white shoes with light blue gloves and a black beanie hat with a hole in the center as accessories.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has tips about their whereabouts is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (805) 681-4171 or report on the website at https://www.sbsheriff.org/home/anonymous-tip/.
