You may notice smoke this week in the Cambria area but fire officials say there is no need to be alarmed.
Firefighters will be conducting a series of prescribed burns starting Tuesday.
Cal Fire firefighters will burn vegetation piles along Cambria Pines Dr.
Over the past several months, Cal Fire firefighters, with support from the San Luis Obispo County Fire Safe Council, have been cutting overgrown vegetation to reduce hazardous fuel.
Firefighters will spend several days burning the piles as long as the weather cooperates.
