Flagship restaurant, located at 1601 Price St. in Pismo Beach, is donating 10 percent of its sales this Tuesday, Sept. 18, to Five Cities Girls Softball.
The softball league is trying to raise $10,000 to help pay for fees required to keep using the field at the Soto Sports Complex in Arroyo Grande.
The league says it was recently surprised with a bill from the city.
"They’ve presented us an invoice to back pay and basically told us it’s due immediately and we will not be able to use the fields until it’s paid," Five Cities Girls Softball President Melody Avant told KSBY earlier this month. "Being a non-profit, we had to dig deep to pay them off so we can use the fields. It diminished the entire funds."
City officials said the Soto Sports Complex is operating at a deficit and recreation service fees had to be increased.
A gofundme page for the softball league had raised $1,690 as of Tuesday.
The fundraiser at Flagship continues until 9 p.m.
