A woman was rescued from the top of Islay Hill off of Orcutt Road Sunday afternoon.
Batallion Chief Bob Bisson with San Luis Obispo City Fire Department says the woman severely injured her ankle.
A number of emergency crews responded with an all-terrain rescue vehicle and a CHP helicopter.
The operation took about 90 minutes to complete, Bisson said. The injured hiker was transported to the hospital.
