After nearly a year of construction, a project on Los Osos Valley Road is finished.
The project created an underground utility district.
Workers aimed to improve and preserve the natural scenery by removing above-ground utility poles and wires.
In total, 28 poles were removed and approximately six miles of communication and electrical lines are now underground.
To celebrate, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Los Osos Oaks State Reserve parking lot.
