Cal Trans will be working to improve the road on State Route 41 in Atascadero from Sunday night to Friday afternoon.
The pavement project will improve more than nine lane miles of State Route 41.
Drivers will encounter one-way reversing traffic between Los Altos Hills Road and the interchange with the U.S. Highway 101.
The road improvement will be Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cal Trans will also work overnight Sunday, Aug. 26 to Friday, Aug. 31 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
During the repairs, detour signs will be posted. Cal Trans said drivers should only encounter 10 to 15-minute delays.
Funding for the project comes from Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017.
