Pollution and smoke from fire causing poor air quality this weekend

Posted

Air quality in Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County is not ideal this weekend.

San Luis Obispo County’s Health Agency sent an air quality alert warning residents that air is unhealthy for babies, children and adults with respiratory or heart conditions.

The Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District and Santa Barbara County Public Health Department issued an air quality watch for the county as well.

The poor air quality is from smoke from the Front fire and other fires burning throughout the state.

They recommend people who are most sensitive to the air quality to reschedule outdoor activities and to stay indoors as much as possible.
