San Luis Obispo police are investigating a crash that injured a bicyclist Tuesday morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. on Santa Barbara Ave. near the intersection with Broad Street.
Police say the bicyclist suffered only minor injuries when he was hit by a car, even though the vehicle’s front windshield was smashed in due to the impact.
Luckily, first responders were quick to arrive since San Luis Obispo Fire Station No. 1 is located at that intersection.
Police do not believe either speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.
