Me and Z’s restaurant in Arroyo Grande is raising money to send a local all-star team to the World Series.
The restaurant’s fundraiser is Monday. They will have a special menu from 12 p.m. To 8 p.m. to help get the Five Cities 13 and under Babe Ruth All-Star Team to the World Series in Arkansas.
Valerie De La Rosa, the mother of a player said she is excited for the team to compete.
"I have dreamed about this since I was little and now my son and his team, who are outstanding, get to go and represent Five Cities," De La Rosa said.
Me and Z’s has already raised $200 for the all-star team.
The team has a GoFundMe page with a goal of $5,000 to get them to the competition.
They were recently in Arizona recently, where they won the Pacific Southwest Regional Title.
