Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Santa Margarita late Monday afternoon.
It was reported shortly before 5 p.m. on I Street near Margarita Ave.
A shed in the backyard of a home was burned but firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the main house.
When crews arrived, they reportedly found a man unconscious. CPR was performed and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
