The California Mid-State Fair plans to end on a high note this weekend in Paso Robles.
KC and the Sunshine Band performed on Friday. The country rodeo is planned for Saturday, along with singer Kris Kristofferson, who will be performing on the free stage.
A new event, "Bikes, Bulls, and Pulls" will end the fair on Sunday.
The hot weather has been somewhat of a struggle for some fairgoers, but the fair says attendance this year was actually a little higher than last year’s.
"We’re handling it very well," said California Mid-State Fair CEO Michael Bradley. "The public is really enjoying it. What we’re finding is it’s cooling off in the evening, a little warm during the day, and cooling off in the evening."
The Mid-State Fair said this year set a record: two concerts both sold out in the same year. Both Eric Church and Luke Bryan sold out ahead of the performances.
