A longtime Lompoc dance studio may soon be closing its doors. The owner of Classical School of Ballet has been battling with the City for some time now, arguing that her studio on South J Street should be considered a youth center and cannabis shops not allowed within 600 feet. While Angela Mill and the City reached an agreement earlier this month, determining the studio could be classified as a youth center, Mill said she had already placed her business up for sale, worried about the future of her business and what would come with cannabis stores in Lompoc.KSBY learned Monday that Mill is currently in escrow with a buyer who has filed a cannabis application with the City of Lompoc. The dance studio has been offering classes for more than 50 years. Mill says if the sale goes through, she will relocate within Lompoc. By mid-July, 13 commercial cannabis use license applications had been received by the Lompoc City Clerk’s Office.
