Dryer catches fire at San Simeon Lodge

Firefighters were called to a fire late Monday night at the San Simeon Lodge.A dryer and a garbage can reportedly caught fire around 10 p.m. at 9520 Castillo Dr. in San Simeon.An employee who answered the phone at the hotel said no rooms were being evacuated and firefighters had things under control.The first crews on scene called for a couple of fire engines to check things out but called off any other resources. CAL FIRE SLO tweeted that the fire was contained.#LodgeIC fire contained to a laundry dryer. Incident commander requesting 2 engines to assist checking for fire extension.
