A fire broke out at a homeless encampment Saturday afternoon in Lompoc.
According to fire officials, Lompoc firefighters extinguished the fire that grew to about half an acre around 3:30 p.m.
"The fire required extensive overhaul and brush clearing," officials posted on social media.
Santa Barbara County and Vandenberg Fire assisted.
It took 2.5 hours to complete.
