California Mid-State Fair visitors can check out areas in San Luis Obispo County at the newly designed Showcase of Cities event.
Eleven communities in the county are displayed across the Frontier Pavillion in Frontier Town.
The cities showcase the best features of each city or town, giving a unique take of the place they call home. The displays are designed to encourage future opportunities for the visitor to discover hidden treasures and make plans to visit special attraction in the area.
Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Oceano and Nipomo are featured.
California Mid-State Fair attendee Donna Myers said she liked the Paso Robles display the most.
"The first day we walked by here that caught my eye and even as I went further up, this one was just for me," Myers said.
The display has a mini hot air balloon and giant wine corks.
Fair attendees can also vote for their favorite display and give the top city the "People’s Choice Award."
