A woman was pulled from the pool at Avila Hot Springs on Wednesday afternoon after nearly drowning.
CAL FIRE Chief Paul Lee tells KSBY News they were called around 2:45 p.m. and arrived to find the victim out of pool.
A bystander was giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. CAL FIRE then began performing CPR.
Chief Lee says the woman, said to be in her fifties, is breathing normally now and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
It is not known how long she was underwater. Hotel management says several lifeguards were on duty at the time.
KSBY News is working to speak with witnesses and hotel management for additional details.
