A local thrift shop is celebrating its new look.
A reopening party is taking place Monday until 4 p.m. at New To You Shop in Solvang.
The store has been around since 1963 and features gently-used clothing for all ages along with books, toys, household items and more.
Proceeds from sales at the shop benefit the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Auxiliary scholarships, and other hospital projects and programs.
The scholarships are awarded every year to local high school grads looking to pursue a career in health- or medical-related fields.
Some of the new features customers will find at the store are fresh paint, new shelving, racks, flooring and window coverings.
New To You Shop is staffed by volunteers and located at 1689 Oak St. in Solvang,
The hospital auxiliary is currently in need of volunteers to help in various areas of the hospital. Junior volunteers, who must be at least 17-years-old, are also encouraged to apply.
