Marine layer strengthens, temperatures stay warm

Posted

Wind is expected to back off this weekend, allowing the marine layer to deepen along the coastline.

Saturday is likely going to be the best beach day as the marine deck may not clear in some spots on Sunday.

Fairly warm temperatures will stick around through the weekend before low pressure digging into the Pacific Northwest will make more of an impact early next week.

Temperatures will reach the low to mid-70s in coastal valleys, high 60s on the coast, and high 80s inland.

Independence Day will be somewhat of a transition day as the region will see weaker onshore flow with less marine layer coverage. More significant warming will kick in as high pressure continues to build westward.
