A happy ending for puppy trapped in a 50-foot hole for more than 30 hours.
Toffee, the adorable pup was in her backyard with her foster family in Huntsville, Alabama Thursday when she fell into the hole.
The seven-week-old Australian shepherd mix is not only deaf but partially blind due to her age.
Rescue crews made several attempts to reach the pup who was trapped deep underground. But they did not give up.
Early Saturday morning, they were finally able to pull Toffee out safely.
Her foster mother is beyond grateful.
Karen Smith, Toffee’s Foster Mom, says "I’m not going to lie, last night I was not very hopeful that we would get her out. So I had a terrible night last night. But towards the end of the day today, I was starting to feel like there was some hope.
"I was afraid she wasn’t going to wake up again tonight. But no I can’t describe it."
