Slight warming for the inland valleys

Posted

An upper level high is bringing daytime highs for the inland valleys slightly above normal Tuesday. Areas like California Valley and Shandon will be back in the mid-90s and Paso Robles and Atascadero will be close to the upper 80s. Coastal valley temperatures are going to range from the upper 60s to mid-70s by Tuesday and the beaches will range from the low 60s to low 70s.

Morning and overnight marine layer and fog continue to be a factor Tuesday with afternoon clearing in the forecast for interior portions. However, clearing along the coastline could be stubborn and take most of the morning before seeing sunshine.

The coastal valleys and beaches will have west-northwesterly winds ranging from five miles per hour up to 15 miles per hour with gusts possibly up to 20 mph. The inland valleys will have similar conditions with winds within the same range and wind gusts up to 25 mph.
