The Monterey Hotel is coming to San Luis Obispo and is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
This hotel will be the closest to Cal Poly, construction is on 1845 and 1865 Monterey St., near the Monday Club.
Monterey Hotel will add 102 rooms and will be three stories.
One of the development companies originally said the hotel would be completed by the end of 2017, but construction delays pushed the date back.
The space where the hotel is being built was bought for $2.5 million.
Monterey Hotel is one of three new hotels coming downtown.
Hotel Sera and Hotel San Luis Obispo are expected to open in 2019. These two hotels are closer to downtown and will offer more amenities than The Monterey Hotel.
