The seventh Iridium NEXT mission is scheduled for launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base on July 20, the satellite communications company announced Friday.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will carry 10 Iridium NEXT satellites into orbit.
On May 22, five Iridium NEXT satellites were launched. It was the sixth Iridium launch since Jan. 2017 when the company began a campaign to replace its entire network of communication satellites with 75 new satellites.
Iridium 7 will bring the total number of Iridium NEXT satellites in space to 65.
The launch is scheduled for approximately 5:12 a.m.
