Inland valleys close to relief from the heat

Posted

A trough that is over the Pacific Northwest will cause daytime highs for the inland valleys to drop over the next couple of days. Inland valley daytime highs are already cooling down into the mid to upper 80s on Thursday with continued cooling through the weekend. The Coastal valleys will mostly be in the upper 60s to low 70s Thursday and the beaches will be in the low to upper 60s.

Morning marine layer and fog continues on Thursday with some afternoon clearing in the forecast. Areas like Shell Beach and Morro Bay will be covered by marine layer throughout the morning with a window of clearing between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. before fog makes its return.

More cooling is in the forecast for this week and weekend. Inland valley temperatures could cool down into the mid-60s.
