The San Luis Obispo City Planning Commission is reviewing two proposed projectson Broad Street and Tank Farm Road.

The proposed projects include a retail shopping center with 499,000 square feet and an assisted living facility of 133,655 square feet. There will be 111 assisted living suites and 28 memory care studio units within the assisted living facility.

The retail shopping center will be 5.28 acres. The assisted living facility will occupy 4.79 acres of the western portion of the project site.

At tonight’s meeting, the committee will determine if the project is consistent overall with the General Plan objectives for the site. The key issues they are considering relate to the mix of use of the project. The project said it will be "used as a mixed-use site" and will provide a "mix of uses" but is not specify any required residential components.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. In the council chamber.
