More 90 degree weather for inland valleys ahead of cool down

Posted

Daytime highs for the inland valleys will continue to be very warm on Wednesday. Temperatures will be mostly in the upper 80s up to the upper 90s, but there will be about 10 degrees of cooling on Thursday. The coastal valleys will be in the mid-70s to mid-80s and the beaches will range from the mid-60s to low 70s.

The overnight marine layer has made its return and will stick around at the coastline through the morning before burning off by the early afternoon. Winds look to be relatively calm Wednesday and within a five to 15 mile per hour range with gusts sticking at or below 25 mph by the mid-afternoon hours.

A trough of low pressure developing over California will bring back that June Gloom over the next five days. That low pressure will continue to bring temperatures down, particularly for the inland valleys where daytime highs will likely be in the low 70s.
