Power plant workers pick up trash at Fisherman’s Beach

Posted

PG&E employees cleaned up Fisherman’s Beach as part of World Ocean Day on Friday.

Employees who volunteered walked up and down the beach with buckets, pulling trash out of the sand and rocks.

"We have a strong tradition of giving back to the communities we serve," said PG&E in a statement. "Helping to clean up and preserve the beauty of our beaches is a key part of PG&E’s commitment to environmental stewardship."

On Memorial Day Weekend, Port San Luis workers and other volunteers picked up enough trash to fill 50 trash cans.
