Windy conditions and cooler temperatures Wednesday

Posted

The cooler temperatures are continuing for the Central Coast. Throughout the inland valleys, daytime highs are dipping down into the upper 70s and low 80s. Coastal valleys will remain in the low 70s and the beaches will be in the low to upper 60s. Winds will be a factor on Wednesday and within a 15-20 mile per hour range from the afternoon into the evening hours. Gusts are looking to range from 20-35 miles per hour making for a fairly breezy day.

Morning low clouds and fog are covering most of the area Wednesday morning but afternoon clearing is in the forecast, but the sun might not shine through for everyone. Interior and coastal valleys will have afternoon clearing to bring mostly sunny skies. The beaches are a different story, especially for San Luis Obispo County where onshore flow could keep those areas socked in for most of the day.

The upper trough keeping daytime highs cooler will weaken Thursday and bring back some warmer temperatures by the end of the week.
