CHP officers are investigating a major-injury crash near Bonita Elementary School Monday morning.
Fire officials say the crash happened off W. Main St. near Betteravia Farms just before 7 a.m.
Officer Efren Moore with Santa Maria CHP says it appears a produce semi-truck rear-ended a sedan.
First responders found the sedan with severe damage while the semi-truck had minor front-end damage.
The driver of the sedan suffered moderate to major injuries and was rushed to an area hospital, according to Guadalupe Fire Department officials.
Meanwhile, the semi-truck driver was okay.
