SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP/KSBY) – The Latest on a man suspected of being California’s Golden State Killer (all times local):

A judge has ruled authorities can collect DNA, fingerprints and body photos of the man suspected of being California’s Golden State Killer.
Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Michael Sweet ruled Thursday in favor of prosecutors.
Public Defender Diane Howard had filed a motion to stop the evidence collection.
The judge says courts have repeatedly upheld collection of such evidence.
The suspect, 72-year-old Joseph DeAngelo, appeared in court handcuffed to a wheelchair. He did not speak to the court.
He was arrested last week on suspicion of numerous murders and rapes in the 1970s and 1980s, including four in Goleta.

The former police officer accused of being the Golden State Killer will appear in court Thursday to fight prosecutors’ efforts to collect more of his DNA.
Joseph DeAngelo is scheduled to appear in a Sacramento courtroom with his public defender, Diane Howard.
She’s filed a motion to block a warrant obtained by the district attorney to take DNA, fingerprints and photos of DeAngelo’s body.
Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert obtained the search warrant last week.
DeAngelo is a 72-year-old former police officer. He was arrested last week and identified as the suspect in at least a dozen murders and more than 50 rapes between 1976 and 1986.
Prosecutors say they used DNA and a genealogical website to identify DeAngelo, decades after the case had gone cold.
