Scientists and engineers with NASA’S next mission to Mars will be visiting the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum this weekend.
The Mars Insight team has been on the road stopping at cities along the earthquake-prone California coast.
At the exhibit, scientists will be there to explain how the robotic lander will study Mars’ deep interior using seismology and other geophysical measurements.
Scientists say there are many different models that show comparisons between earthquakes on Mars, as well as a small scale model of the full space craft.
The Insight mission takes place in May and will be the first interplanetary launch from the West Coast.
