A construction foreman was arrested in Montecito accused of dealing heroin.
54-year-old Pedro Barajas was arrested on Thursday, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s office.
Search warrants were executed at a home on Picacho Lane in Montecito and at a location in Tulare. In Montecito, deputies say a K-9 located a Glock 9mm handgun, two loaded magazines, more than a pound of heroin packaged for sale and more than $10K dollars in cash. In Tulare, a small amount of methamphetamine was found.
Barajas was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.
A records check revealed he’s a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.
