An arrest has been made in connection with an attempted kidnapping case at the San Luis Obispo Target.

San Luis Obispo police say Rosmary Osorioloaiza, 50, of Los Osos was arrested Wednesday night.

Police say Osorioloaiza went to the sheriff’s sub station in Los Osos to speak with a deputy about the incident, which allegedly occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Police released surveillance video of the woman they say was caught on surveillance video trying to grab a 3-year-old boy’s hand and lead him out of the store until his father intervened. No one was harmed in the incident but the woman left the store before police arrived.

After talking with deputies, police say one of their officers spoke with Osorioloaiza Wednesday night and she agreed to meet with him at the police station.

She was arrested after police say evidence showed she tried to kidnap the boy from inside Target.

Osorioloaiza was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $50,000. Jail logs Thursday morning showed she remained in custody on charges of attempted kidnapping.
