Fire investigators in Santa Maria are seeking information on people they say were seen near where a warehouse fire broke out Monday that took hours to put out.
The fire erupted at the commercial building at 1298 West Stowell Road at around 3:30 p.m. Soon after, flames could be seen shooting from the building and a large column of black smoke could be seen for miles.
Investigators are asking anyone who saw people in the area of Stowell Road between Blosser and Hanson Road from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. to contact Fire Marshal Darrel Delgado at (805) 925-0951 ext. 1578.
