A local Jewish community held the area’s first San Luis Obispo Israel Festival Saturday afternoon.
The SLO Israel Festival is a celebration highlighting 70 years of Israel’s contributions to the world.
The afternoon included a hummus and Baba Ghanoush cook-off, Israli dancing lessons, arts and crafts for the kids, an Israeli dodgeball (gaga) tournament, a book exhibit and a movie night.
The event was put on by the JCC-Federation of San Luis Obispo and Congregation Beth David.
