Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant.
To qualify, contestants must be between the ages of 17-24 on opening day of the 2018 fair, a current resident of San Luis Obispo County, and have never been married.
Each contestant will compete in five categories — interview, platform, talent, swimsuit, and evening wear.
If selected as Queen or a Princess, they must be able to attend every day of the 2018 fair and participate in numerous public events such as introducing performers, taking pictures and meeting with dignitaries. They will also receive prizes from local businesses.
Applications are due by Friday, April 27 at 4 p.m. They are available online or at the Paso Robles Event Center, located at 2198 Riverside Avenue.
The pageant will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. on the Frontier Stage. Admission and parking are free.
The 2018 California Mid-State Fair runs from July 18 to 29.
