ORIGINAL STORY: The Morro Bay Fire Department, Morro Bay Harbor Department, and California Highway Patrol will be conducting training operations on the north side of Morro Rock on Wednesday.
Known as "helocasting," the training will include the use of a helicopter to lower a rescue swimmer to a "victim" in the water.
Training operations are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Crews will train on the beach and in the ocean.
