LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) — Two suspects have been arrested on suspicion of beating and robbing an 80-year-old man inside a grocery store bathroom in Southern California.
Roberto Flores-Lopez was found with injuries to his face in the men’s room at Superior Grocers in Lancaster on July 8. He’d also suffered several broken ribs.
His family says Flores-Lopez is out of intensive care but faces a long recovery, KABC-TV reported Saturday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Damaris Wade, 22, and Tamika White, 33.
Wade allegedly assaulted and robbed Flores-Lopez. White accompanied Wade to the store, according to the sheriff’s department.
It wasn’t known Sunday if the two men have attorneys.
