McKenzie Diaz joined KSBY News as a multimedia journalist in March 2023.
A graduate of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communications at Washington State University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and media production. Prior to joining KSBY, McKenzie interned at NBC affiliate KHQ in Spokane, Washington where she reported breaking news, elections, and even the high-profile slaying of four college students at the University of Idaho.
A Pacific Northwest girl, she’s originally from Washington state and grew up on the water. She enjoys jet skiing and kayaking and looks forward to exploring the waters here on the Central Coast.
In her free time, McKenzie enjoys distance running, not sprinting. She also enjoys reading, writing, hitting the gym, and exploring new places, as well as listening to audiobooks and podcasts. And she LOVES the beach.
