The Lucia Mar School Board toured two of their schools this evening to see the improvements being made in multiple construction projects.
The board toured Oceano Elementary School and the Arroyo Grande High School on Tuesday.
The projects were made possible by a facilities bond that was passed in 2017.
The Arroyo Grande High School is receiving a new stadium, as well as a new music room.
Board members say it is very exciting to actually tour the campuses and see the results that will highly impact the students.
"Ultimately the community is the one who is going to benefit, they will benefit in the short term because our schools have been improved, they are going to benefit in the long term because the students that our schools are producing are going to be that much better," said Chad Robertson, President of Lucia Mar School Board.
The facilities bond allocated $170 million dollars. Those funds are being used on different projects at all 18 campuses within the district.
