KSBY, the NBC affiliate for California’s Central Coast, is seeking a confident and engaging Weekend News Anchor and Multi-Media Journalist.
EXPERIENCE
Candidate will be expected to anchor newscasts on weekends and fill in anchor during the week when needed. This person will shoot, write and edit stories three days a week and be knowledgeable in all aspects of newscasts from producing to anchoring. Will work closely with weekend producer in planning and executing news content on-air and on our digital platforms. Must have a thorough understanding of how to enterprise, pitch and produce original news content.
REQUIREMENTS
- A four year college degree is required.
- A minimum two years’ experience in a locally affiliated newsroom.
- Active on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Must have a thorough understanding of web and be able to understand difference between web and on-air writing styles.
