SAN LUIS OBISPO — In our "We're Open Central Coast" segments, we are shining a light on the businesses that make up our community and are staying open.

One of those businesses is Del Monte Cafe in San Luis Obispo that is still open to serve the community through uncertain times.

Owner Debbie Collins had to layoff most of her employees.

Now, she and one cook are there seven days-a-week.

Collins said her dedicated customer base still calls in orders and she runs the goodies out to their car.

Although sales are down, Collins is maintaining a positive attitude.

"We have steady customers and they are supportive right now. I think right now the most important thing for us to be is consistent and just to be here for when people want to stop in and pick up something to-go," Debbie Collins said.

Del Monte Cafe is located on 1901 Santa Barbara Avenue and is open daily from 11 a.m. -7 p.m.

If you are one of the business owners keeping the doors open or if you know of one who is we want to hear from you.
